what shakes you doesn't have to break you.

This first New Moon of fall, landing on the 10/10 portal is supposedly bringing in fresh energy, new beginnings, and an opportunity to realign with the direction we’re being called toward.

And speaking from the heart, I have to say… my birth-yay week was ROUGH.

Flight delays. My phone not working. Unexpected shifts. One thing after another left me feeling COMPLETELY disconnected and dysregulated no matter what I did.

Almost like the universe was saying, “HA! I don’t think so…”

LOL. Okay, but seriously.

It left me feeling lost, questioning where to turn next, and asking myself was there something I missed? And where do I go from here?

I was LEGIT taking things outside of my control personally. As if every inconvenience was some cosmic punishment or a sign that I was somehow off track.

But here’s the interesting part…

Looking back, I can recognize that I actually handled so many of these situations differently IN the moment than I would have in the past. I had more patience. More perspective. More willingness to let things unfold without immediately trying to control the outcome.

That is… until I had what Gen Z would call a menty b — AKA the nervous breakdown — that left me with absolutely NO fight left. 😂

Because growth doesn't mean we never reach our breaking point. Sometimes it means we make it further than we used to before we get there.

Naturally, I had to ask myself:

Isn’t this supposed to be Libra season?!

The sign of balance, harmony, and fairness? The energy that wants everything to feel aligned and make SENSE?

WHAT IS GOING ON???

And then I wondered… what planet is in the microwave right now? 😂

Turns out, Venus is involved. Along with a few other planetary friends — hehehe.

SO. NOT. FUNNY. THOUGH. LOL.

But in astrology, Venus is associated with love, values, relationships, and what we consider worthy of our energy. And with Libra ruled by Venus, this New Moon offers a beautiful symbolic opportunity to look at where we may be seeking harmony on the outside while feeling completely out of alignment on the inside.

Because sometimes, what we call peace is actually avoidance.

Sometimes, what we call letting go is just burying something we haven't fully processed and spiritually bypassing ourselves into submission.

And sometimes, our need to keep everything balanced means we're bending ourselves into a pretzel trying to make things work that may no longer be working for us.

OOP. THERE IT IS.

We often think that when we're aligned, everything should flow effortlessly. The right doors should open. The timing should make sense. The path should feel clear.

But what if alignment doesn't always FEEL like alignment at first?

What if sometimes we have to experience the discomfort of being shaken up before we can recognize what needs to change?

We can feel completely out of balance when old patterns, unresolved emotions, and expectations we've been holding onto start rising to the surface.

Not necessarily because we're doing something wrong, but because we're finally in a position to SEE what we've been carrying.

And THIS is the opportunity.

To see it.

To acknowledge it.

To get honest with yourself about what you really feel, what you really need, and what you're finally ready to stop carrying — not to judge yourself for being human.

Maybe the universe isn't asking you to figure it all out right now.

Maybe it's asking you to stop fighting the pause that’s encouraging you to feel your feelings long enough to hear yourself again.

So, if things have felt a little chaotic lately, take a breath. Give yourself some grace. Let the dust settle before deciding the next step.

You don't have to force clarity.

You don't have to have the next five steps figured out.

And you don't have to interpret every detour as a sign that you're failing.

Sometimes, balance isn't about keeping everything exactly as it was.

Sometimes, balance requires things to shift.

To make room for something new.

And to remind us that we can be growing, healing, and moving in the right direction even when life feels a little messy.

Trust yourself. Trust the process. And remember that you don't have to understand the whole picture to take your next step.

What shakes you doesn't have to break you.

Happy Libra New Moon. 🤍
